COMPETITON: WIN a very cool Mr Potato Head Homer Simpson NOW ENDED

June 16th, 2014 by Marc 1 Comment

Ok, we love The Simpsons – yes, even current Simpsons (though admittedly not as much) – and this item has us all abuzz in the office; Homer J Simpson. As Mr Potato Head. Or is that the other way round? Anyway, it’s a gem of an item and we love it soooooo much that we want to give one away.

Yes, thanks to the lovely people at PPW Toys and Forbidden Planet UK we have one to give away to one lucky FTN reader – think how cool he’ll look on your work computer

It’s Homer “Starch” son! Celebrate 25th years of laughter and hijinks of The Simpsons with this Homer Simpson Mr. Homer Simpson!

America’s greatest TV dad comes in his classic white shirt, blue pants, black shoes, and his MMmm…donut! This Simpsons 25th Anniversary Homer Simpson Mr. Potato Head will make any Simpsons fan go, “Woo Hoo!” Homer stands about 6-inches tall and comes in a window display box along with the classic couch background as a diorama setting.

So, do you fancy a chance of celebrating 25 years of The Simpsons in style thanks to PPW Toys, Forbidden Planet and Following the Nerd? Of course you do! Well, here’s how.

Everyone knows Homer’s wife and kids – Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie – but what is the full name of his dad? (we won’t accept Grandpa)

Think you know? Then drop us an email with the answer plus your full name and address, marking your entry simply as ‘D’OH!’. We’ll pick one lucky winner and Homer will make his way to your front door.

Competition closes on July 1st and is open to UK contestants.
Judge’s decision is final and no cash alternative can be offered.
Normal FTN T&Cs apply.

Good Luck!

If you aren’t lucky enough to win, US readers can order the figure HERE and UK readers HERE

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
