Currently number one at the box office after a $73 million opening weekend, Matt Reeves’ Dawn on the Planet of the Apes is headed to Blu-ray this fall and CraveOnline has our first look at a collectible set called “Caesar’s Warrior Collection.” Pre-orders will be available during SDCC at the Fox Booth (#4229) and also at FoxConnect.com while the convention is going on.
The collection inlcudes Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD versions of both Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and Digital HD versions of Dawn on the Planet of the Apes as well as a 32-page “Planet of the Apes: Building an Icon” booklet and four “battle-ready” ape character cards. The set will be released this holiday season.
Fans of the franchise should find the new Caesar bust a welcome addition to their collections, as it appears to have been made to match the Caesar replica bust of The Planet of the Apes Ultimate DVD collection that was released in 2006.
