Deadpool movie coming in 2016!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics’ are moving ahead with the long-gestating X-Men spin-off Deadpool.

The movie will hit theaters February 12th, 2016.  We know that Tim Miller is set to direct the film, and can only assume that it’s starring Ryan Reynolds reprising his X-Men Origins: Wolverine character, although no deal is set.

This comes on the heels of Reynolds’ reaction to the Deadpool test footage that leaked in July. Though the footage was quickly pulled down by 20th Century Fox, you can see it below along with some screen shots in this article.

Reynolds recently told the Niagara Falls Review via ComicBook.com:

“There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, ‘Oh, so we weren’t crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.’ It’s interesting to see the power of the Internet. It’s awe-inspiring, actually. And it’s neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way.”

More to come!
