Greetings fellow Nerds and Nerdettes and this weekend will see the biggest ever London Film and Comic ever!
Starting as early as 11am on Friday 11th July (this is a special preview signing exclusively for Stan Lee fans), with the usual Friday evening preview at 6pm, then all day Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July. The event is taking place at Earls Court (due to the sheer volume of guests and expected attendees, the event will be taking place in Earls Court and Brompton Hall).
With many film and television shows being covered this year, including Alien and Aliens, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Stargate SG-1, The Hobbit, Blade Runner, Star Wars, Deep Space Nine, Ghostbusters, the list simply goes on!
Guests for this event include Carrie Fisher and Ian McDiarmuid (That’s Princess Leia and The Emperor from the original Star Wars movies), John Hurt, Michael Biehn, Edward James Olmas, Michael Madsen, Natalie Dormer, Lena Heady and horror directing icon George A. Romero, the list is simply enormous.
LFCC wouldn’t be a comic con without the comic element and there is plenty on display this year. Making his final European signing is legendary comic book creator Stan Lee. Yes, you read it right, the legend that is STAN LEE is coming to comic con!
With over 100 film, television, comic and storyboard artists, not to mention a new Writers’ Corner with published authors, LFCC is certainly the biggest event Showmasters have ever created.
Throughout the course of the weekend there will be special guest attended talks including Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who (which will have two Doctors!). There is even a special screening of an episode of Game of Thrones which will have a live commentary from the actors in the episode.
With the numerous demonstrations, cosplay events, not to mention the all important autographs and photo opportunities taking place, there will never be enough time in the weekend to sample it all.
But fear not, as I will be fully embracing my Nerdiness and getting photos galore with guests and attendees alike, and perhaps even grab an interview or two. So if you are in London this weekend, get yourself down to LFCC for a star-studded weekend and feel free to say hello to The Nerd (that will be me in the red shirt).
