Production is set begin next week on the pilot for the CW’s Arrow spin-off The Flash, which means more and more info is coming out.
Today, we got our first look at what actor Grant Gustin will look like in his variation of The Flash’s iconic costume.
The costume was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who designed the costume for Stephen Amell’s Arrow. While it’s only a head shot, we can see that the suit appears to be made out of a tough leather and the shade of red looks to be a bit darker hue than we’re used to. Maybe it’s the lighting. The lightning bolt also is modernized a bit.
What do you think?
The cast of the show includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris’s father, Detective West, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne aka Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon aka Vibe, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow aka Killer Frost, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen, and John Wesley Shipp, from the original The Flash TV series, in an unspecified role.
The Flash arrives from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg who, along with Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode with Arrow pilot director David Nutter at the helm.
