So we have the first official image of Michael Jai White from the upcoming second season of The CW’s Arrow thanks to TV Guide. The actor will appear as Bronze Tiger, a DC villain that joins forces with Deadshot (Michael Rowe) for the Suicide Squad.

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim had this to say of the new addition to the cast:

“Michael Jai White is playing Bronze Tiger and he is such a badass. “His performance, our kick-ass stunt department, our incredibly talented costumer designer, and our very gifted props master…they’ve all combined their A-games to create a really great representation of this DC Comics character. “

Guggenheim also reveals that Bronze Tiger will show up in the second episode and comes to Starling City to challenge The Hood:

“He’s basically the best of the best, so he has come to Starling City to see if the Hood can give him a challenge. To that end, he has aligned himself with China White and the Chinese Triad.”

For fans of Tiger who are worried that he won’t live up to his comic counterpart:

“If you’re a fan of the character from the comics, you are going to really happy with his Arrow-fication.”

Stephen Amell returns for the new season as Oliver Queen and he’s joined by series regulars Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson, Colton Haynes as Roy Harper, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance.

The show will also feature even more comic book characters and will include Summer Glau as Isabel Rochev, Caity Lotz as Black Canary, Kevin Alejandro as Sebastian Blood, Bex Taylor-Klaus as Sin, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Amanda Waller, and will feature the series debut of Barry Allen aka The Flash later in the season.

Arrow season 2 premieres on Wednesday, October 9th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
