After the absolute flop that Terminator: Genisys was, many fans were hoping that the franchise could rest, at least for a while, to mend its weary bones and re-evaluate a few things. However, has a recent interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger suggested that we’ll be seeing a return sooner than later?

The recent interview of which we speak was on Australia’s Channel 9, in which Arnie was asked about the chances of another Terminator film. His response? “I am looking forward to it, absolutely.”

His choice of words are interesting, considering Paramount pulled the next scheduled sequel back in January. The studio hasn’t announced any kind of rescheduling, but could Arnie’s words mean some hope for Terminator in the near future?

The next Terminator film was originally scheduled for a March 2017 release, which has since been filled by Dwayne Johnson’s Baywatch reboot.

Could this be the sign the resistant fans have been waiting for? We’ll have more on this as it happens.
