Is this Millennium Falcon concept art for Star Wars: Episode VII?

February 15th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

LucasFilm recently redesigned their website, giving it a fresh new look. On the website, Star Wars Episode VII is listed under the “Production” section. There’s also an image of a production meeting taking place, presumably the meeting is about Episode VII, considering who is in attendance: writer/director J.J. Abrams, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, production designer Rick Carter, SVP of technology Kim Libreri, SVP of Physical Production Jason McGatlin and Senior Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll.

And behind them, you can see The Empire Strikes Back on a screen on the left and a wall of concept art on the right:

So the bottom left appears to be the Millennium Falcon flying. The image at bottom right looks like a desolate planet, maybe just a canyon. The upper image is blurry to make out, but appears to have Alec Guinness’ Obi-Wan Kenobi at the far right.

What do you think?
