The cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is already pretty huge, from combining the worlds of Batman and Superman, to possible (numerous) inclusions of the Justice League, it’s a lot. Yet one character that hasn’t been named as appearing yet is James Gordon.
There…may be a good reason for that…
According to a source who has read the BVS script, there’s a shot in the movie (presumably within the GCPD) showing a memorial plaque for Commissioner Gordon, meaning that he’s dead.
If this is true, it’ll be interesting to see how this affects the character of Batman, who as rumors say has over a decade of experience fighting crime in Gotham. Does this make him gunshy in regards to teaming up with new people? Will this make hime even more withdrawn than he already is?
We don’t know…but it will fun to find out.
Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
