James Wan has recruited Rocky IV and Expendables star Dolph Lundgren for Aquaman.
The actor will play the rival aquatic monarch, King Nereus, out for Aquaman’s blood in the forthcoming DC film, according to THR.
He joins a cast that already includes Jason Momoa as the titular hero alongside Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Aquaman’s royal science advisor, Nuidis Vulko, and Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother.
Lundgren made his acting debut in the James Bond film A View to Kill, however he is best remebered as Russian boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV.
Aquaman is set for release in December 2018.
