Since the start of Arrow and the introduction of John Diggle there’s been a sense that he could be a Green Lantern; well, hold onto your hats people, because there’s a chance that this may be happening.
In a new interview David Ramsey AKA John Diggle, has brought up the Lantern and the fact that it’s been brought up before: “There’s a lot of stuff in the Diggle family that has to be worked out in these 10 episodes and will be, and ultimately, I think we have to find out what’s going on with Green Lantern.
“We’ve been teasing that since Season 2 or 3. It’s been a crazy amount of time, so we have to put a button on that, and from what I’m hearing, we will.”
So the main Lantern that we’re assuming he’ll be would be John Stewart, now yes I know his last name isn’t Stewart it’s Diggle, but hold on just a sec… as we look into John’s back story in Season 7 we learn that he has a step-father played by the great Ernie Hudson and called Roy STEWART!
Ramsey has also talked about why he hasn’t donned the ring yet and he said there’s so many moving parts to make a Green Lantern show happen and – so far – it just didn’t work while Arrow was still in full swing.
Either Diggle needed to be an integral part to the Arrow story-line, or there was simply just too much going on. But with Arrow now coming to an end and Crisis on Infinite Earths starting next month, it’s the perfect time for all the speculation to come to an end and for John Diggle to say the oath that so many of us have been waiting for.
Lantern has been my favorite DC hero for as long as I can remember and I just hope they do him justice.
