Well it seems the last couple days have been full of Arrow news. Yesterday we got our first look at Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen and earlier today we got to see Ollie’s mask for the first time. The latest is that TV Guide is reporting that actress Katrina Law (Spartacus) has been cast in the role of Nyssa al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul and half-sister of Talia. In the series Nyssa will be a member of the League of Assassins where she will make her way to Starling City to face off against Caity Lotz’ Black Canary. Law will be joining other Spartacus alums Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson) and Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Amanda Waller).
The new season of Arrow has been expanding its roster of comic book characters greatly and in addition to Nyssa al Ghul includes Summer Glau as Isabel Rochev, Caity Lotz as Black Canary, Michael Jai White as Bronze Tiger, Kevin Alejandro as Sebastian Blood, Bex Taylor-Klaus as Sin, Dylan Neal as Dr. Anthony Ivo and Grant Gustin as Barry Allen.
Nyssa will make her debut in the 13th episode of this season, aptly titled “Heir to the Demon”.
In the comics her name is Nyssa Raatko.
