While one of the best – and most successful – parts of Batman’s recent history has been the Arkham Asylum games, it looks like the franchise is now done.
The news comes from the Dark Knight himself, voice actor Kevin Conroy, who addressed the crowd at Wizard World, Nashville.
Conroy, best known as the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne on Batman The Animated Series, also played him on the Arkham games – although it should be noted that he was played by Roger Craig on the WB Games installment, Arkham Origins, so there’s always the chance that he’s not completely in the know.
Anyway, when asked if another he was set for another Arkham outing, the actor replied ‘no’, adding: “I can’t believe that they’re not going to do another one, but they’re not. Isn’t that amazing? They made literally billions of dollars on those games, but no, there’s no plan to do another one. Sorry.”
The full video is below… do you think the Arkham series is finished? Or could it just be Conroy’s involvement?
Let us know.
