Jamie Foxx had this to say earlier in the year, about Max Dillon before his transformation into Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2:
“What you’ll see is that, for his whole life, no one is talking to him. People have stolen his ideas at the big company. He’s a nobody. At a certain point, Spider-Man bumps into him and says, ‘You’re my guy. You’re my ears and eyes on the street.’ Then he says his name, [Max] and no one has ever said [Max] Dillon’s name. He goes, ‘Wow’ and, when Spider-Man leaves, he sort of thinks that, ‘I am Spider-Man’s partner!’ He’s cutting out Spider-Man’s face and pasting it on all his boards…”
As you can see from the above pic Tweeted today by Marc Webb, the character really does have some sort of stalkerish obsession with Spider-Man!
“In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.“
Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into theaters May 2, 2014.
