Matt Gerald from Marvel One-Shot All Hail The King joins Ant-Man

Deadline is reporting that  Matt Gerald has joined the cast of Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man. for director Edgar Wright. They only reveal that he is playing one of the bad guys.

But his character may already be established in the MCU, as he played a Seagate prison inmate opposite Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery in the Marvel One-Shot All hail The King. There is no confirmation that he’s playing the same role, but this is Marvel after all.

Edgar Wright is directing Ant-Man from a script that he has co-written with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block).

So far it stars Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd as Hank Pym and Scott Lang, respectively.

The rest of the cast includes Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena and Patrick Wilson.

The film, which will launch Marvel’s Phase Three, will hit theaters on July 17th, 2015.
