New images from The Amazing Spider-Man 2

July 11th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

To say we’ve seen a lot of set photos from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is an understatement (sorry about that), but with San Diego Comic-Con around the corner, Sony has finally released a new batch of stills through the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. Just yesterday we got our first official look at Jaime Foxx’s Electro. My favorite from these new stills is the image of Spider-Man which recreates a pose seen in many a comic book, but perhaps the most intriguing shot is that of Jamie Foxx as Electro. It appears as if he has some sort of microchip device in his head, how does this relate to his powers? Does it monitor, limit or control them? The still of Peter’s room is sure to have clues too so check it out.

“In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Felicity Jones and Sally Field.

The film is set to swing into theaters May 2nd, 2014.

The third film will be released on June 10, 2016, and the fourth on May 4, 2018.
