PICTURE ROUND-UP: Better look at Man of Steel’s Zod, Harrison Ford in Anchorman 2, logo for 300: Rise of an Empire and Sophia Vergera looking dangerous in Machete Kills

Here it is again – our semi-regular look at some of the best images floating around the inter-web that we reckon you guys will kinda love.

First up, a series of kids’ tie-in books for the summer’s Man of Steel movie have afforded us a closer look at the armour of General Zod, albeit in comic art form. More images here

Next up, as reported earlier this week, Harrison Ford will appear in Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Still nothing much is known, but Brand New Cool managed to nab an image of him onset:

The official Facebook page for 300: Rise of Empire –  the sequel to 300 –  has previewed the logo for the new movie here

And finally we thought we’d show you the latest artistic, em, fun, em, hot, oh never mind – here’s a picture of Modern Family’s Gloria AKA Sophia Vergera for the upcoming Machete Kills and we also added the previously released image of Lady Gaga from that movie too. Just because it’s a slow Sunday morning. Honestly.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
