The Power Rangers movie has been in the works a while, with only recent photos showing the “vision” this “retelling” of the classic Might Morphin Power Rangers series will have.
So confident is Lionsgate in this movie, that they’re already up for talking about sequels, a significant number of sequels in fact.
“We are really, really excited about the Power Rangers movie,” CEO Jon Feltheimer said on a conference call, “We could see doing five or six or seven.”
This is interesting, as the few bits of set photos taken from the Power Rangers set have had mixed reviews on the internet. The new Power Ranger suits are drawing comparisons to Iron Man, while the new Rita Repulsa is widely considered to be untrue to the source material.
Obviously, the true fact that will determine if ANY sequels get made will be the box office results of the film.
