According to Deadline, An encore presentation of the pilot episode will air the following Sunday, May 29, with back-to-back airings beginning at 9 PM. New episodes will resume Sunday, June 5, at its regular 9 PM time slot.

In related news, attendees at South by Southwest in Austin have seen the pilot and it seems that the word is it’s very, very good no matter if you’re a fan of the comic or not:

preacher reactions

Preacher, from Sony Pictures TV and AMC Studios, is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a West Texas preacher who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from heaven, hell and everywhere in between. It also stars Lucy Griffiths as Emily, W. Earl Brown as Sherriff Root, Anatol Yusef as DeBlanc, Tom Brooke as Fiore, Derek Wilson as Donnie Schenck and Ian Colletti as Eugene/Arseface.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
