Various online movie blogs and Twitter messages from leading entertainment writers, and one specifically by a Lucasfilm employee, are suggesting that a Star Wars: Episode VII casting announcement is immiment.
While there are no concrete stories, and a lot of this ‘rumour’ is chatter, the suggestion that an announcement will come soon follows a tweet from LFL’s Tracy Cannobio. She said via Twitter: “Ever have one of those days that you know you’ll always recall as the beginning of something great? That was yesterday for me.”
Ofcourse, this tweet could mean anything but when you’re hearing rumours from guys at sites such as Bad Ass Digest, Latino Review and Ain’t It Cool News, then it’s safe to assume we’ll be getting something pretty quickly.
So what actors are we hearing right now? Well, and again we stress this is just rumour, the main name being bandied about is Dane DeHaan (Chronicle). One thing you’ll notice when you look at pictures of this guy is that he has a certain Mark Hamill look about him. Again, that is only my opinion but it’s definitely one to think over.
