Sam Mendes is being lined up to direct a live action remake of James and the Giant Peach.

According to Deadline, the man behind Skyfall and Spectre is in early talks to develop and direct the Roald Dahl -penned novel. Nick Hornby is attached to write the screenplay.

James and the Giant Peach won’t be his first time tangling with Dahl’s material as he previously directed the Charlie and the Chocolate stage musical back in 2013.

It joins the Lin-Manuel Miranda fronted The Little Mermaid remake as the latest in Disney’s line-up of live-action reboots.
