July 13th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

It was pretty much a given, but everyone’s favorite cameo Stan Lee confirmed yesterday that he will indeed be in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. While talking about the impact of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the London Movies and Comic-Con (via Digital Spy), Lee not only confirmed his cameo but potentially who he might share the screen with this time around:

“The movies have been great. We have been so lucky. We’ve got the best directors, the best special effects people and wonderful actors. People that had not been big stars before like the fellow who plays Thor (Chris Hemsworth) – he’s wonderful! I was with him yesterday – I did my cameo of course. And Chris [Evans] who plays Captain America… He’s excellent.”

Lee also credited the Marvel Cinematic Universe with making an incredible impact on Hollywood and the comic book industry over the last six years:

“All it can do is make it better for Marvel if we do these movies and the movies are successful. There are people reading Marvel comic books that would have never thought to read a comic book before. It helps the comic book business. The movie business has been unbelievably incredible. The Marvel movies are about the biggest money-making movies of all.”

Lee also joked that Warner Bros. should consider putting him in the Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:

“DC could probably make a lot more money with Superman and Batman if they announced that I’d have a cameo in it! People wouldn’t believe it – they’d have to go to the theatre to see it!”

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Thomas Kretschmann, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and James Spader.
