Star Wars spin-off movies will be origin stories

September 13th, 2013 by bash 1 Comment

Disney CFO Jay Rasulo has been speaking about his company’s plans for Star Wars during a special investor conference – and revealed a little bit about the plans for the standalone films.

According to Variety, the Disney chief said “one Star Wars trilogy film” or “origin story film” would also appear on the release schedule each year, starting with Episode VII in 2015.

So does that mean we’re going to get the much talked about Han Solo or Boba Fett film? Who knows, but one thing is for sure Disney are ready to promote Star Wars like nothing else.

Talking about the franchise working across all mediums, Rasulo added:“We will lay the groundwork for that … and when the film comes out in 2015, we’ll be ready to blow it out.”

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.

21B medical droid: A Robots Journey. Bet we’ll never get to see that. Hope they do the Han Solo and Boba Fett films though, its the obvious ones to start with. Young Lando? The boy Wedge? Maybe. A bit of concrete confirmation wouldn’t go amiss.
