Take That star Gary Barlow is to star in the next Star Wars film The Last Jedi.

The singer revealed the news during an interview on a weekday morning TV show in the UK.

“I’m not a stormtrooper, but I am in it,” he said. “Now I’ve said that, I’ll probably be out. I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information [is divulged]. So me saying that, I’ve probably just done myself out of a role.”

Barlow joins a list of people, including Tom Hardy and princes William and Harry, expected to play cameo roles in Episode VIII of the saga. It is set for release this coming December.
