Incoming Transmission: INVASION BELFAST IMMINENT!
The Emerald Garrison returns to W5 for another weekend of fantastic photo opportunities in Invasion Belfast: Episode VI.
This year, visitors will be treated to a new line-up of actors, talks, and fun interactive activities as well as the Emerald Garrison’s hugely popular props and replicas exhibition including a new Jabba the Hut scene and Hoth set with large turret gun. And, of course, visitors of all ages will love meeting and posing with over 40 costumed characters, including legions of Storm Troopers, Jedi Knights, Bounty Hunters, Clone Troopers, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Wookies and many, many more!
Fans have the opportunity to meet actors from the original movies during Lecture Theatre talks and signings. Actors confirmed include Michael Carter who played Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi and Alan Ruscoe who played the roles of Plo Koon and Daultay Dofine in The Phantom Menace.
Invasion Belfast VI (hard to believe this is now the sixth invasion event in Belfast!) looks set to be another action packed weekend of costume characters from The Classic Trilogy, The New Trilogy, The Clone Wars Animated Series and there may even be a guest or two from The Expanded Universe!
Whether you are a budding Padawan, an apprentice Sith or even a junior Bounty Hunter (or perhaps a wannabe Clone Trooper) there is something for everyone at this event. Attendees can mingle with the costume guests and get their picture taken with them or even on one of the custom fan built sets that adore the various levels in W5.
There are even Force Training Classes available (ages 4-12 so Big Kids will have to give this a miss, I’m afraid), along with traders stalls! Also our very own FTN Team will be on hand all weekend with live interviews with the guests, hosting Q&A Sessions and we will even be hosting a Star Wars Quiz (I’ve been banned from taking part, I’m told!).
So hop on to to your inter-galactic transport and head straight to W5 where an entire Galaxy of Star Wars characters and events awaits and remember “The Force will be with you… Always.”
