The Pros and Cons of Living on Each Star Wars Planet

June 7th, 2021 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

You probably have your favorite Star Wars planet, but which one would you prefer to live on? While the dry planet of Tatooine might feel like the home of Star Wars, the dry, dusty sand and villain-ridden bars might not be the most comfortable places to hang out. To help you figure out which planet in the galaxy far away you should move to, here are the pros and cons of living on each Star Wars Planet.

Naboo
Naboo is both a democratic and monarchy-led planet. With its high levels of culture, exquisite buildings, and calming natural landscapes, it is the perfect place to live for just about anybody. According to Betway, it’s the best place to live out of all the Star Wars planets.

Pros:
Tons of culture and beautiful scenery.

Cons:
It probably has city center-like prices.

Coruscant
The planet of Coruscant is made up of an entire city, with the wealthy living in skyscrapers at the top while the lower class work below.

Pros:
Lots to do and high quality of life for the wealthy.

Cons:
A rigid class system and an absence of nature.

Dagobah
Dagobah is a swamp planet where Yoda trained Luke Skywalker in all things Jedi and the Force. You could build yourself a hut, but you’d probably feel humid while you’re in it.

Pros:
It is peaceful with some gorgeous scenery.

Cons:
Dangerous creatures, too much swamp, and holds a dark side of the Force.

Forest Moon of Endor
The Forest Moon of Endor is the Star Wars moon home to millions of Ewoks and even more trees. It has two suns, three oceans, and greenery that goes on for days.

Pros:
Incredible views and endless nature.

Cons:
You might get killed by the Ewoks.

Tatooine
The original home of both Luke and Anakin Skywalker, Tatooine has never-ending deserts, dodgy bars, and lawless cities.

Pros:
You can make a living there if you work hard.

Cons:
You might get robbed, killed, or dehydrated.

Alderaan
Alderaan plays a pivotal role in Star Wars. Before being destroyed by the Empire, it was home to Princess Leia and the House of Organa.

Pros:
Once held incredible beauty.

Cons:
The Death Star destroyed it.

Mustafar
Mustafar is a volcanic planet full of lava. Darth Vader’s castle resided there, and it is also the place of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader’s epic fight.

Pros:
You would never get cold.

Cons:
You would probably die from the heat.

Bespin
Bespin is a planet of gas with the Cloud City floating atop it.

Pros:
The Administrator, Lando Calrissian, keeps good order of Cloud City – the one habitable area in Bespin.

Cons:
There isn’t too much to do. If you like a party, you’d probably be left disappointed.

Hoth
Hoth is a snow-covered planet that was once used as a headquarters by The Rebel Alliance. As well as the freezing temperatures, there is also the terrifying Wampas to contend with.

Pros:
Pretty scenery and unique caves.

Cons:
Way too cold for any ordinary human.

Kashyyyk
The planet of Kashyyyk is home to the jungle, oceans, and, of course, the Wookiees. The main style of a home there is a treehouse, which makes sense due to the abundance of giant trees.

Pros:
Gorgeous beaches and friendly natives.

Cons:
The strange (and sometimes dangerous) species that live there.
