True Detective came out of nowhere and shocked and amazed all who watched it with its gripping story and memorable acting by Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. When news broke that Season 2 was not only happening, but would be an entirely new story with new characters, many were wondering who and what and where.
Now, we have answers to those questions, at least in part. Writer and producer Nic Pizzolatto said the following: “Right now, we’re working with three leads. It takes place in California. Not Los Angeles, but some of the lesser known venues of California and we’re going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambience of the place, much like we did with season one.”
He goes on, “The characters are all new, but I am deeply in love with all of them,” he continued. “We have the entire season broken out, and I have a couple of scripts, and we’ll probably start casting within the coming month.”
So expect some news some in regards to who might be filling the roles of True Detective.
