Birds of Prey (2002) star would like to return for The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earth

It looks like a current Batwoman star would like to re-visit an earlier role for the upcoming Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event on The CW later this year.

Rachel Skarsten, above, will play the main villain, Alice, in The Cw’s Batwoman series but joined what is arguably the Arrowverse before Arrow way back in 2002 when she played Dinah Lance in Birds of Prey alongside Ashley Scott as Huntress and Dina Meyer as Barbara Gordon.

This is far from he first time the Arrowverse has welcomed back DC TV (and movie stars) for roles in the Arrowverse, which is one of the most fun parts of the world.

Anyway, the actress had this to say about the earlier series and the upcoming event: “Ashley and Dina and I, we’re still friends. We still keep in touch. And they were so kind to me when I did that show. They really took me under their wing, both of them, and I’m deeply grateful.

“We went for dinner, probably two years ago now,” Skarsten said, “and I remember having this conversation that if Birds of Prey had been on now, it would have been on forever. It was just a little bit ahead of its time. But since I’ve gotten this part, I’ve had so much response on Twitter, about like, ‘bring Dinah back! And bring those characters back!’ So 100 100%. I mean, we’re all like 97 years older, but we would definitely come back.”

Honestly, at this stage, it would be well within the realms of possibility to see this happen, given all the stars confirmed and rumoured for the big event.

I’d like to see the Birds of Prey return, even if just for a cameo in the Crisis crossover. Would you?

In related news The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace has said (here) that the Crisis event will have a big impact on this season of the show… especially when it comes to introducing the villain:  “Crisis is not separate from any story throughout the entire 22 episodes.

“Even after Crisis, the fallout from it continues to build and screw with Team Flash. In the first pre-Crisis episodes, as the big bad is getting introduced, like we always do – we will see a relationship of what’s coming in Crisis with what’s happening to Barry with what’s happening to the new big bad. They are all interrelated.”

“Once we reveal the new big bad, especially once we get around episode 3,4, and 5 you’ll understand exactly why this big bad was chosen,” said Wallace.

“It’s very specific and only could have been chosen in this year of Crisis because dread is hanging all over Team Flash – dread, sorrow. The potential loss of not only your loved ones but the entire world. That’s not happy.”

The more I hear, the more excited I get for this event…

Crisis on Infinite Earths will start on December 8.
