This is the first trailer for Christian Bale‘s new movie Out of the Furnace. This is actually Bale’s first movie sinceThe Dark Knight Rises, and although he’s in a more realistic environment, he must once again take justice into his own hands.
The synopsis is as follows:
“Russell Baze (Christian Bale) works a dead-end job at the local steel mill, as his terminally ill father did before him. When Russell’s brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and mysteriously disappears. The police fail to crack the case, so – with nothing left to lose – Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice for his brother. Sometimes your battles choose you.”
The movie that was written and directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart). It also has a great cast of actors that includes Casey Affleck, Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe, Sam Shepard, and Zoe Saldana. As the trailer shows, many of these actors have either won or been nominated for Academy Awards.
Out of the Furnace will get a limited release on November 27th and then expand into more theaters on December 6th.
