For all those stuck at home and wishing they were in a galaxy far, far away, Disney have released a trailer for the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride from Galaxy’s Edge from Disney Land.

The ride, as someone not enamoured with the Disney trilogy, looks like a heck of a lot of fun.

Your ride is controlled by a re-programmed R5 astromech droid and will take you through a First Order Stardestroyer where you’ll meet Kylo Ren, a Probe Droid and a parker At-At Walker that doesn’t take kindly to you being there.

The narrator, Bek is voiced by FTN favourite James Arnold Taylor.

The ride looks like a lot fun and, if you’re interested, we’ve also put a video of the entire ride at the bottom of the page.

As soon as the world snaps back to normal, we’ll see you all there?

You are about to take part in a galactic adventure on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Beware though, if caught…well, then may the Force be with you.Board your transport and escape the clutches of the First Order all while discovering fun facts about this exciting new attraction.

Here’s a fan-recorded video of the entire ride… not gonna lie, compared to the old Star Tours, this looks pretty damned cool.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
