WATCH: First and extended TV spot for Lucy starring Scarlett Johansson

June 9th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Last night during the NBA Finals, an extended TV spot for Luc Besson’s Lucy starring Scarlett Johansson dropped. It was just revealed last week that the film has received an R rating for “strong violence, disturbing images, and sexuality.”

I’ve included the first TV spot as well.

From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.

The cast also includes Morgan Freeman and Analeigh Tipton.

Lucy is set to release on July 25th, 2014.
