When Josh Brolin took the stage at SDCC wearing an Infinity Gauntlet fans went crazy, althought it wasn’t really a surprise. The rumor had broke in May that Brolin was Thanos, and was soon confirmed by THR and others.
With Guardians of the Galaxy now in theaters, Marvel has released a video and official image featuring Brolin as Thanos. It’s a character we’ll get to know well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe transitions into Phase Three in 2015. Note the similarities between Thanos in the picture below and a image from the comics above, revealing that Marvel is keeping the character pretty true to his appearance in the books.
