Syfy has released the first trailer for their upcoming adaptation of director Terry Gilliam’s 1995 time-travel thriller 12 Monkeys.
The story follows the journey of a time traveler (Stanford) from the post-apocalyptic future, who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.
The cast includes Aaron Stanford (Nikita, X-Men: The Last Stand, X2), Amanda Schull (Suits, Pretty Little Liars), Noah Bean (Nikita, Damages), Kirk Acevedo (Fringe) and Željko Ivanek (Damages, Heroes, True Blood).
The series is set to premiere in January 2015.
