In January, Rockstar delayed the GTA V release date from spring 2013 to September 17 worldwide on Xbox 360 and PS3. Explaining the move, it said:
“The only reason we’ve delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be.”
Although there’s been much speculation that GTA 5 will also be released on PS4 and Xbox One, Rockstar hasn’t officially commented on next-gen versions. Similarly, it has not discussed the status of a possible PC version:
“The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release. We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now.”
