WATCH: New Magnum Opus trailer for the Mad Max game

April 26th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios announced today that its upcoming car-combat game Mad Max has been delayed from 2014 to 2015. In addition a new trailer for the game has dropped.

This trailer focuses on the vehicle that Max will be causing destruction in while you’re playing him in the game. The car is called the Magnum Opus.

This is going to be an open world, third-person action title in which gamers will play as Mad Max, “a lone warrior who must embark on a perilous journey after his Interceptor is stolen by a deadly gang of marauders. A reluctant hero with an instinct for survival, Max wants nothing more than to leave the madness behind and find solace in the storied ‘Plains of Silence.'”

In the game “cars are the key to survival”. Mad Max has to survive in The Wasteland, and to do so uses a mix of on-ground and vehicular combat against bandits. He also has the “gifted, but peculiar” mechanic Chumbucket to help.

Mad Max has been delayed until next year, but it will release on the Playstation4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
