WATCH: Professor X walks and Hank unleashes the Beast in 2 new X-Men: Days of Future Past clips

You may have seen trailers or pics of James McAvoy’s Xavier walking even though at the end of X-Men: First Class, Xavier was left abandoned and paralyzed by Michael Fassbender’s Magneto.

Well the first clip we have explains that. Even though Xavier has gained the use of his legs in the comics at various times, this is another time where Fox can’t seem to stick to their own continuity.

In the second clip, the Wolverine from the future meets 70’s Hank McCoy , and we see Hank have a Hulk like transformation that was previously reported.

Mutants are on the verge of extinction. Sending Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in time seems to be like the mutants’ last hope, even though it was Kitty in the comics. But when Logan arrives in the 1970s, things aren’t much better. Magneto is coming into his evil power and Charles Xavier is not the man he was in X-Men: First Class, he is broken physically and mentally.

They must unite if mutants are to stand a chance.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

Bryan Singer has managed to gather an impressive cast which includes James McAvoy, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, Lucas Till and Evan Jonigkeit.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be released in theaters on May 22nd, 2014 in the UK and May 23rd in the US
