Your Guide to Preparing for The WSOP 2021

April 25th, 2022 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

The World Series of Poker is back! Professional players and eager spectators are flocking into Las Vegas to enjoy a 54-day tournament of the most intense game known to gambling. Feel the temperature drop in the room when players make a move that could change everything or follow your favorite players to the Main Event which kicks off on Thursday, November 4th.

There are a lot of ways you can get involved in all the fun. Read on for all the details on the WSOP.

What is the WSOP?

The World Series of Poker tournament is the biggest poker event of the calendar and biggest on the globe. This year’s tournament is its 52nd round and will be held in the home of gambling: Las Vegas in the Rio All-suite Hotel and Casino.

There will be charity events, celebrity events, no-limit games, high stakes, and the growing thrill of the game seeping out of every chip.

Players

The players headed to Las Vegas for the WSOP will have to look up flight times and hotel bookings, but even if you’re not packing your bags, you can get involved as a player.

You can head to the GGPoker website where you can play at the WSOP Online 2021 and qualify for the Main Event Online Championship by joining the GGTeam. There are 33 WSOP bracelets up for grabs, not to mention the prize money for each of the events.

Or you can gain more experience by playing online at live tables with features like SnapCam and Smart HUD to keep things interesting.

Register today on GGPoker.com for a chance to get the WSOP Stream Dream promotion, which sees streamers compete at the WSOP Main Event.

Preparing to play might take some studying. Establish your strategy by establishing your playing style. Are you aggressive or passive? Tight with your hands or loose? By knowing how you play you can avoid the traps that your style gives, like passive and tight players that will cower away from any challenge. You can also determine what styles your opponents have and use that to your advantage. For example, if you have a loose and passive player at the table and you have a good hand, you can take them for all they’re worth.

Improve your bluffing and your tells by looking up the logistics of body language. If you can identify what mannerisms are betraying some players, you can call more hands successfully.

Spectators

If you’re a lover of the game, you’re in luck. The Mexican standoff between players, the glamourous Vegas hotels, the tension in the air, it can all be seen at home.

Get regular updates on the GGPoker website, which is also offering flights, a stay at the Rio Hotel and $10,000 entry into the main event for a lucky winner. Or livestream all the events from the WSOP website. You can play the WSOP events on any device, including Android and Apple phone and tablet, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. You can also stream all the gambling fun to any browser, which means it can be played on virtually any device, like laptops, computers, and consoles.

Unfortunately, ESPN is no longer the home of the WSOP tournament. Instead, you will have to head to CBS Sports to watch all the bracelet events, including the Main Event. But there will be 15 hours of Main Event to enjoy, so there is a lot to look forward to.

The World Series of Poker tournament runs from September 30th to November 22nd with the Main Event playing from November 4th to November 7th.
