The Akira movie has been gestating for quite a while now, but things may be turning around, especially with news that Marco Ramirez will now be writing the script.
Ramirez was hired to be the showrunner for the Netflix/Marvel collaboration of Daredevil in its second season, so this is a welcome score to add to that.
Now obviously, just because he’s writing the script, it doesn’t mean things will finally speed up for the film…but we can hope, right?
