Alex Kurtzman & Chris Morgan set to re-launch the classic monster movie franchises!

July 17th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

With the recent trend of rebooted film franchises one genre has been almost completely ignored…the classic movie monster! (Aside from Godzilla!) Universal, the studio responsible for films like Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, Frankenstein, and much, much more has hired on two creators behind recent hits such as the Fast & the Furious franchise and Transformers to resurrect these classic creeps.

Alex Kurtzman (Transformers, Star Trek, & The Amazing Spider-Man) and Chris Morgan (The Fast & the Furious) will have the daunting task of making these classic baddies relevant once again in a film market already saturated with reboots and while these monsters have shown up in films such as The Mummy and Van Helsing, this will be the first time EVER we will be seeing them in a cohesive universe!

This shared universe has been rumored since last October.

What do you guys think about having a shared universe with cinema’s greatest monsters? Let me know in the comments below!
