Up until December we had been reporting that Bill & Ted 3 was coming and then… silence.

But now, Bill S Preston Esq himself, Alex Winter has been talking it up and he reckons it’s pretty close to being a thing: “We’re really close. We’re just about there,” Winter Told Yahoo! Movies, before joking, “In Hollywood parlance, [that] means we’ll either be shooting soon, or it’s never going to happen.”

He says that himself and Ted Theodore Logan, played of course by Keanu Reeves, have both been pushing for this for years: “It’s really been us driving the whole thing, me and Keanu and [writers] Chris [Matheson] and Ed [Solomon]. So we’re producing it and we’re actively trying to get it made. We’re not tired of it, but I think for our fans, we are eager to stop talking about and actually shoot the damn thing.”

We’re really hoping he’s right because, out of all the things from our childhoods that have been resurrected, Bill and Ted’s adventures into adulthood is one we really, really want to see.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
