As the big plans for DC’s cinematic universe move forward, the ladies are certainly moving into the spotlight.

First up, check out the awesome new Wonder Woman logo for Batman V Superman and (presumably) the Wonder Woman movie. Comicbook are reporting that “Graphitti Designs used New York Comic-Con to reveal some officially licensed merch from the forthcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Amongst the images was a T-shirt design showcasing the official Wonder Woman logo design from the DC Cinematic Universe.”

Next up, we’re still excited for White Canary in the new DC’s Legends of Tomorrow trailer, we should remember that there’s be no White Canary without Black Canary. And it seems that Black Canary is set for the big screen… and she’s not coming alone.

“The Black Canary is a secret identity taken on by two people, according to post-Crisis continuity Dinah Drake and her daughter Dinah Laurel Lance. The latter has the super powered “Canary Cry,” a sonic attack and both were really good at hand to hand combat.”

The new rumours are that Canary is set to appear in Zack Snyder’s Justice League Part 1 (or possibly Part 2) in 2017 0r 2019. And if it all goes to plan, she could well be played by Abbey Lee from Mad Max: Fury Road or Burn Notice and Supernatural’s Alona Tal (both below).

The Birds of Prey would fit in with DC’s apparent love of team-ups and might also give weight to the still dominant rumour that Jena Malone is playing Barbara Gordon in Batman V Superman… remember, Barbara was once Batgirl but spent her later years as  Oracle. Given the advanced years of Batman in the new universe, we’re guessing Barbara will be older and will be Oracle when we meet her as Oracle was a big part of the Bird of Prey team.

But will we get a Killing Joke live-action telling? Well, we can but hope.

Excited? I know we are…
