Angelina Jolie set to sign on for MCU role

March 28th, 2019 by Marc Comments

It looks like Angelina Jolie, Maleficent herself, is getting ready to step into the superhero business and suit up for the MCU.

The actress is reportedly in talks to join Marvel’s The Eternals movie which will be directed by Songs My Brothers Taught Me’s Chloe Zhao.

“Jolie has chosen the Marvel project based on the Jack Kirby-created title about superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous offshoot known as the Deviants that were created by the cosmic beings called Celestials.

“While details about the movie are being kept under wraps, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that one aspect to the story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans. It is unclear who Jolie will play.”

I’m a long-time fan of Jolie and with her already a big deal at Disney with her in-production Maleficent sequel due this Halloween, it is no massive surprise that she’s making the jump to the Marvel camp.

But as who? Who do you think she should play? Let us know in all the usual ways, gang.
