Get ready for the new daily show

Ant-Man Has Begun Filming

August 18th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

After years of speculation, numerous re-writes, and several key people walking out/leaving the film, Ant-Man has officially begun filming.

Peyton Reed, the new director for the film, posted on his Twitter account today:

“Alright, gang. Today is the day.
LET’S. GET. small.”

The tweet obviously referring to how the character of Ant-Man can shrink to the size of an ant. Clever.

In case you didn’t know, Ant-Man will be about…

“Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”

Cool huh? Well there are certainly a lot of questions going into this movie, possibly even more than Guardians of the Galaxy. Will it all work out in the end? Only time will tell, and with only 11 months (almost to the day) to film, shoot, edit, and promote, Marvel hopefully will live up to the hype once more…and not shrink away from the challenge.

Ant-Man is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2015
