Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is more or less finished filming and less than a year away, we’re starting to really look forward  to what will be next (sigh, the life of a fan, huh?).

It seems that two strong females could be on director Gareth Edwards’ radar with Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany (attack of the clone, anyone? No? Ok) and star of David Fincher’s Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Rooney Mara both testing this week for the lead role.

Further rumours suggest that Amazing Spider-man 2’s Felicity Jones is also on the want list but her schedule may provide filming problems.

Apart from a first draft being completed by Garry Whitta and rumours of Simon Kinberg coming in to do a second writing and a release date of December 16, 2016, nothing else is known about the movie at this stage.

Given that the rumours still suggest that the movie will be about a group of Bounty Hunters, we’re wondering if we may see Assajj Ventress or perhaps Aurra Sing in this movie? Just pondering…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
