Are Warners worried that Superman and Henry Cavill aren’t ready for a Superman movie now?

Wait, what?!

After the awesome news a couple of weeks ago that it looks like Henry Cavill is getting ready to step into the red hero boots of Superman once more, it seems that Warner Bros has some hesitation about how much the world wants a new Superman movie with Henry Cavill as the titular hero.

While the original rumour had it that Cavill would appear in a role similar to Hulk in the MCU, with him appearing in other DC movies before getting his own stab at a standalone movie.

And now it seems that this rumour is indeed the truth of the situation.

Now an insider has been saying that while the studio wants Cavill back, they don’t want him to carry the weight of a full movie on his shoulders.

“A stand-alone Superman movie would not be successful at this time. Perhaps once there’s more momentum after playing a supporting role in some successful DC films, there would be more of a chance for a stand-alone film.”

Now, I can’t state enough that this is merely a rumour, but given what we knew in the past weeks, it would certainly make sense.

So, there’s not really any other way to see this than that, because of the utter shambles of Superman’s appearances in Justice League and Shazam!, Warners are no long sure Superman is a safe bet.

Well, not that it matters, but let me tell you, Warner Bros, if you give Henry Cavill the right script and let him be Superman, the fans will come.

But hey, maybe that’s just me…

What say you all? I want to hear your thoughts, gang.
