The internet is beginning to apologise to Zack Snyder after the newly released (in the US) Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – Ultimate Edition.

With the full uncut version of Zack Snyder’s original movie getting rave reviews and calls for Warners to let the director release his version of the upcoming Justice League, people have reversed their opinion not just on the movie but on the director himself.

After all the vicious attacks on Snyder over the movie, we here at FTN – who have been defenders of the movie from the start – are glad to see this and are heartened by how readily some people are to be brave enough to say that they were wrong in their attacks, especially as it seems the fault lies at Warners’ doorstep as they were the ones determined to get a 2 and a half hour cut of the movie out there are cinemas are generally more ready to accept the shorter version and because it would mean that movie would get more screenings.

We here at FTN are confident that had they released that superior cut of the movie, gathering more positive reviews, they would have reached the (seemingly) all-important $1 billion.

Anyway…. Collider was keen to let everyone know that the new cut was a much better movie and the rest of the internet was quick to follow suit.

And here’s some of these Tweets.

Some of us at FTN have watched this movie and, while we grew to love the original cut, we can agree that Snyder’s full three hour cut is superior on almost every level and we absolutely insist that, no matter your feelings on the movie in cinemas, you watch this new version…

And then let us know what you think.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
