Well, this is great news, although we don’t know how it’s going to happen…
Bill Murray has reportedly been conformed returning for Zombieland 2: Doubletap, despite having died in the first movie as… Bill Murray. And this time he’s bringing fellow Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd with him!
Nothing else is known about their roles at the minute and they will be ‘fictional versions of themselves’. We sort of thought that that was a given, but here we are.
As well as that, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin and director Ruben Fleischer are all back at Sony for the zombie sequel. Original writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are back too.
Yay!
In Zombieland 2: Doubletap, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
The movie is set to begin in January with a October 2019 release date… Zombies at Halloween!
