Bill & Ted Face The Music casts the duo’s daughters

June 10th, 2019 by Marc Comments

It looks like the cast of Bill & Ted Face The Music has added two most excellent cast members.

Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving have signed on as the daughters of our favourite time-trvelling duo, Bill S Preston esq and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan… or Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves as they are also known.

We already knew the duo were parents from the last scene in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and now we know who those babies grew up to become.

Excellent!

According to an official press release Lundy-Paine (The Glass Castle) and Weaving (The Babysitter) will star alongside Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter as Bill and Ted’s kids. Bill & Ted Face the Music, the sequel to Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey, centers around the now middle-aged best bros having to use their music to save the universe from total disaster. Only this time, they’ll be traveling with their daughters.

Producer Scott Kroopf added: “When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team.”

When you look at the image tweeted by the movie’s official account (below), it’s clear why the duo got the job.

Could this be setting up a new duo to carry on the Bill & Ted legacy if this entry proves successful? I can’t help but thing that may just be the plan…

Thoughts?

Bill & Ted Face the Music is being directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) based on a script by franchise creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. It’s expected to arrive on August 21st, 2020.
