Since SPECTRE two years ago, the Bond franchise has been in stasis more or less.
Daniel Craig has said he won’t do any more, before he saying he might (Roger Moore did this too, so there is a precedent), and director Sam Mendes has quit the series, presumably because he has realised that his style is completely wrong for the genre.
But we now know who is writing Bond 25.

That dubious source of knowledge, the Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye has reported on twitter (above) that Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, credited contributors to the series since 1999’s The World Is Not Enough and recently having taken Len Deighton’s SS-GB to the screen after a forty year spell in development hell, will be writing the script, a sign that Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are following Papa Cubby’s insistence on creating a family atmosphere, without seeing the possible talent in his charges.
Bond 25 will come out… eventually.
