Captain America: Civil War Gets A Villain

November 15th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

2016 is going to be a big year for Marvel, and you could argue that no movie will be bigger for them than Captain America: Civil War. Now though, word has spread that Daniel Bruhl has been cast as the villain for the film.

No word yet on which villain he’ll be playing, but it’s confirmed that he is the villain for the piece. This is interesting as the original Civil War story (from the comics) honestly didn’t have an overarching villain. This was a true hero vs. hero affair. It could be however that Bruhl’s villain will be the catalyst for the Civil War, but at this point it’s all guesswork.

The film is not lacking for starpower though, as Chris Evans will be joined by Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman (who will debut as Black Panther), and possibly Jeremy Renner as well.
